Jamie Oliver...saint or sinner?

The current offering of Jamie Olivers latest TV programme "Jamies Ministry of Food" is getting its current airing on UK television.

Yet again he seems to have found the spot with its content and aim to try and get a group of "non cooks" to take up cooking and then pass it on. A simple idea that seems to have caught the imagination of a nation now happy to live off processed ready meals and junk food.

Much has been said about his use of expletives but really does the "public" not realise by now what it is all about being a chef...

You have to take your "toque" of to him for yet another winning formula...

Oh Pappa Cod Jamie really has you hooked (don’t forgive the pun as I love it!!)

Whilst I believe that Jamie is sincere, I believe the program is primarily an excuse for pretentious southerners to sneer at the "proles" in the grim north.

Will it have the same effect as school meals whose take up have shown a significant fall off since his last crusade?

The "Jamie" effect is something to behold not just here but abroad as well...

The Swiss are big fans for some strange reason and I did not feel the programme was a dig at "proles" in the north... it could have been done in any major southern town as well.

I agree I am not certain it will have the same effect that his school meals rant has had but if it gets "joe public" to discuss and look at what they eat or even cook it might just work...

Hooked or not you can do nothing more than admire his zeal and also understanding of the food issues we should all be concerned with...
